Read moreMy wife and I are 70 something experienced travelers who used Pure Journeys several years ago for a trip to New Zealand, and had such a great experience that we used it again for this trip to Australia. We travelled for about a month throughout Australia. We decided on where and how long to stay in each place we visited and Pure Journeys arranged car rental, hotels, airport transfers, and day tours. Again everything worked wonderfully well, all the moving parts came together to create a uniquely memorable trip. The hotels were great and perfectly located in the cities and towns that we visited; airport transfers were flawless, reservations worked, and their unique trip app had all the information from day to day about everything relevant to that day and place. Many thanks to Christina who put it all together and was so easy to work with. It was a great trip!

Read moreThis was our first time ever in New Zealand and we were all very excited yet didn’t know what to expect. Looking back, this is probably one of the best family vacations we have had. Kudos to Chelsea who helped make out the schedule which made sure that we had an ample taste of New Zealand. We enjoyed all the activities that were prepared for us. Chelsea was always available for information during the planning process. We especially liked the accommodations that were set up for us. They were all in very nice hotels/apartments. Locations of these lodgings were impeccable in terms of proximity to areas to eat and things to do. Going around in a rented vehicle is the way to go as you will have time to stop when and where you want to. The best oysters we had was on a small restaurant behind a shipping container in Kawakawa! Truly all the activities set up for us were very good and definitely must do’s. I have already told Chelsea that I will contact her for our next trip to New Zealand which hopefully will be in the south island. If you are going to New Zealand, do it with Pure Journeys. Truly a five star!

Everything went extremely well, all the accommodation was very good, they were all different, especially in Wellington and Oamaru which were quite quirky! All arranged transport worked well, especially the poor man who had to come to collect us from Wellington airport in the wee small hours due to the late arrival of our aircraft - he was even quite cheerful!! We took lots of images during our cruise, I am deleting lots of shots of the sea or sky where there should be a seabird, most of them were too fast, but I think I managed to get a couple in the frame!. We were more successful with our land based photos. Once again thank you for your organization of our journey, I am sure we will be returning to New Zealand in the future

The lodgings you booked us into were all clean, comfortable, and in great locations. The New Zealand Fine Touring app was very handy – we liked having all our information in one place on our phones. And overall we really appreciated your efficiency and promptness. I’m attaching a couple photos. One is Sam fishing in the Tongariro River, and the other is me on the Tama Lakes trail in Tongariro National Park. It was too bad that the weather was not in our favor for the flight to Milford Sound. I saw the refund for that excursion posted to my credit card statement as of Dec. 28 – thank you for handling that. Again, we so much appreciate your knowledgeable and efficient help in making this wonderful trip a reality. We will be very happy to recommend you to any of our friends who may be planning a trip to New Zealand in the future. Thank you!!

Read moreOnce again I'd really like to thank you for putting together such a fabulous itinerary for us. Everything ran so smoothly, the accommodation was excellent, our drivers were lovely, our hire car was almost brand new and all the activities we did were fabulous. The kids absolutely loved skiing, the Glow Worm Caves and the jet boat, and I would highly recommend the Glacier Explorers Tour; the TSS Earnslaw & Walter High Peak Lunch; Milford Sound & the TranzAlpine train to anyone who is planning their adventure. Our New Zealand holiday will hold a special place for us for many years to come and I think it's safe to say we will be back!

The itinerary you prepared worked really well for us, covering all the key places to see. We had some Covid-related hiccups on the way, but these were all resolved quickly and easily, with the minimum of hassle. All of our accommodation was lovely and the hosts were very helpful and friendly, offering good tips on what to do. I would definitely recommend Pure Journeys for an enjoyable, hassle-free holiday, and Northland as a travel destination.

We even ended up getting room upgrades at each of our stays! Best of all when the heavy rains impacted our journey, cutting off our passage to Christchurch, your advice and support was par excellence and greatly assisted in getting us to our destination. This quality service from a home-grown small business with local knowledge was the difference - a service that cannot be provided by the larger travel providers.

This has honestly been the best trip of our lives. Every day we were left wondering if it could get any better, and it did. To have everything already done for us - including the accommodation, car hire, all tours and transfers made our time in NZ so special. On the few occasions I called the office, a representative was always available to help. Your Customer Service & attention to detail is 5 star and we will definitely be back again in a few years & be booking with you once again. Thanks to everyone who helped us, it is much appreciated.

Things I loved: Cycling trip, Taranaki and New Plymouth, Accommodation especially excellent in: Coromandel, the spontaneously booked plan B in Glenorchy, New Plymouth, Wellington, Taupo and Queenstown. All of those places I’d like to see again so note them for next year :) Stargazing - really worth the wait :) Disappointments: Not being informed about Routeburn trail closure or cancelled heli hike. Cost me extra in wasted rented gear and having to book my own plan B helihike. Accommodation in Picton. Internet / mobile network in Milford Sound. Hire car received in north island definitely a lower grade car. Best Surprises: Seeing you in the office. Impromptu and privately arranged visit to the Clyde dam through Ken Livingston who was my tour guide on the day off during the bike trip. The private helicopter trip I booked myself in Wanaka (only cost me 2000 - I was expecting more!). The sheep playing golf with me on the way to Taupo in a small town called Piopio. Sheep shearing at Walters peak Farm and discovering the shearer was from Wales! Enjoying Hobbiton a second time. The hotel room in Taupo - ridiculous but appreciated :) The Jewelbox star cluster. Driving from Wellington to New Plymouth- just a lovely multi faceted drive. I suspect little known towns. How much weight I lost ... and how much I put back on again immediately after returning to Switzerland. Cheers - next year I think just base the whole trip between Te Anau and Wanaka. More hiking, more cycling, less driving.

Accommodation perfect for us! The choice of places offered us the scenery and experiences that we wanted - Milford Sound, Glow worm caves and the incredible train trip! Our favourite place was Wanaka - beautiful. The car was great, the people who picked us up so friendly and welcoming. So a mighty big thank you for organizing our holiday- it was terrific! We loved the personality and uniqueness of each place we stayed (especially the historical Carrington in the Blue Mountains). We did stop at a couple of your recommendations along our driving tour and enjoyed each area we explored. We had a very special koala encounter at the Koala Sanctuary, and the dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour was amazing.

For this bucket-list trip we could not have asked for more, starting out in Australia and then spending a few weeks in NZ. Travel arrangements, accommodation and suggested activities made for a wonderful time in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide. We were centrally housed in each city which made for great choices in travelling around the cities. Lots to see with short walks and easy access to excellent ground transportation – on/off services and city buses got us to the sites. Our time in NZ took us on many exciting tours and experiences – one beautiful site after another – seeing 2-day old kiwis at the National Kiwi Hatchery...The activity guide operators were consistently knowledgeable and professional and made our travels pleasant and informative.

You listened to what our requirements were and you certainly arranged the appropriate accommodation, and the Queenstown Gondola and Milford Sound Cruise were suitable for Gary’s requirements.  You took the stress out of the train being cancelled by organising the rental car for longer and Faith to pick us up. We have not had such a smooth trip with any other organisation.

Read moreWow! Thank you guys a lot for the wonderful holiday, everything was almost perfect. The accommodation was excellent, tours and activities fun and amazing and the timing was to perfection. The only beef I have and I know it's not something you control is that the hire car I asked for diesel and ended up with petrol and a choice of only 2 cars. Not to worry I've taken it up with Eurocar. $2.50 a litre for 91 petrol! I'll never whinge again. Once again a big thank you guys and I'll make sure I book with you again when it's time to finish off the North Island.
