We love New Zealand - it's our home and the birthplace of Pure Journeys. Although we have also spent years exploring and travelling Australia, we know these two islands like the back of our hands.
New Zealand is compiled of two islands, the north - Te Ika a Maui and the south - Te Wai Pounamu. Both unique, the north boasts of culture, geothermal activity and sandy beaches, whilst the south has its dramatic alpine backdrops, majestic Fiordland and the TranzAlpine Scenic Train.
Long stretches of road lay between the most popular locations on both islands making New Zealand the best (in our opinion) road trip destination in the world. We recommend hiring a comfortable vehicle, staying in comfortable accommodations and enjoying time to experience NZ at your pace. We can put all these elements together for you and will work within timeframe and budget.
Of course, self-driving is not everyone's cup of tea so we do offer coach touring options as well. Choose from either independent tours where you will hop on and off coaches along your tailor-made route, or an escorted tour where you will join a group for an all inclusive package.
